Kawasaki Ninja 250R is manufactured by Japanese two-wheeler maker Kawasaki. 2011 Honda CB1000R, CBR250R Pricing

The 2011 Honda CBR250R will arrive in American dealerships in spring 2011 with a sticker price of $3,999, with the ABS-equipped version coming in at $4,499. At $3,999, the CBR250R is priced to match the Kawasaki Ninja 250R which is currently the sales leader in that segment.Honda is being even more competitive north of the brorder with Honda Canada offering the CBR250R (CN$4,499 while the ABS version is priced at CN$4,999, matching the price of the non-ABS Ninja 250R.
Powered by a fuel-injected single-cylinder engine with a six-speed transmission, the CBR250R claims a power output of 26hp at 8500rpm while torque peaks at 17 ft-lb. at 7000rpm.

Honda Reports Q2 2010-2011       


In the three months ending Sept. 30, 2010, Honda sold 2.7 million units (including motorcycles and ATVs) worldwide, up from 2.4 million units sold over the same period in 2009. Motorcycle sales generated 312.8 billion yen (US$3.7 billion) in net revenue, an increase of 13.6%.Honda sold about 43,000 units in North America over the quarter, matching the results from the same quarter in the previous year. According to Honda, the new PCX scooter had a positive impact on sales. Mid-sized ATV sales also increased while sales of larger displacement ATVs decreased.

Yamaha Reports Q3 2010

Over the first nine months of 2010, Yamaha reported 987.4 billion yen (US$12.1 billion) in net sales, up from 858.5 billion yen (US$10.6 billion) over the same nine months of 2009.
Motorcycle sales totaled 5.1 million units worldwide, an increase from 4.2 million in 2009, thanks mostly to 4.5 million units sold in Asia.North American sales however are down over 50% over the first nine months, with 40,000 units sold compared to 81,000 units in 2009.


Victory Q3 2010


According to Polaris’ third quarter report, its on-road division, which consists almost entirely of Victory Motorcycles, produced $20.1 million in sales, more than double the $9.3 million in sales from the same quarter in 2009.
Unit sales in North America increased by over 50% in the third quarter despite a weak market for heavyweight cruisers and touring motorcycles. Sales outside North America were even stronger, with Polaris reporting an increase over 100% compared to the same quarter in 2009. Demand was high across Victory’s entire line-up, with the Cross Country and Cross Roads performing well in particular.

Polaris’ on-road division, which consists primarily of Victory motorcycles, recorded $15.5 million in sales over the second quarter compared to $10.5 million reported during the same period in 2009.
Despite a weak market for heavyweight cruisers and touring motorcycles, Victory sales increased more than 10% in North America, marking the third consecutive quarter of increased market share and retail sales.

Kymco vehicles were selected for the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Program after a bidding process that evaluated quality, performance and price.“The Quannon proved to have enough power to do well on the training range, and it is a very manageable bike for beginner riders,” said Bill Shaffer, Administrator of the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Program. “What we look for is a very reliable bike that will start every time, even in cold weather.  And it must stand up really well to novice riders. We need a motorcycle that can endure a fall-over and still be able to be put right back into service.”
The 2010 Kymco Quannon 150's seat height of 31 inches was one factor behind the State of Minnesota's decision.
